Tea.xyz
Web3 Innovation for the Open-Source Community

There’s a meme that’s been

knocking

around the socials for a while, saying that consumption is the opposite of

creativity

and that you’re either a consumer or a creator. It’s an interesting idea but we see things a

little differently

: we think creativity is a conversation between past and future. If you’re aware of culture (translating your consumption of the past into a strategic vision) and you communicate with intention, you can create the

future

.

We don’t just champion raw creativity with refined strategic intent – it’s the lifeblood of our company. Creativity involves an investment of time, energy and resource – a risk that pays off if you hit the mark. We always set out to generate iconic work for our clients, so if people are stealing our ideas, we’re winning.

But we can say that because what we’re putting out into the ether is work that we get rewarded for. What about the many brave and talented creators out there, who are sharing things in open-source forums and relying on an honesty-box-style request for recognition? That’s a way more complex question. And one that the brains behind

tea.xyz

are addressing with their own creative solution.

Through a clever blockchain-based web3 protocol, they’ve shaped ‘digital contracts’ to prevent exploitative pilfering and allow techy open-source creators to get paid for their work. A brave leadership move if ever we saw one.

Our visual strategy work with

tea.xyz

helped them to set the foundations to become iconic champions of this community. The approach played into the very notion of what the business stands for by putting the creators out front, with the brand as the platform for their creative voices.

We designed work to be stolen. Take whatever you want from it!
