In early 2020, as the world grappled with the pandemic, LaLiga and PortAventura embarked on an ambitious journey into the Metaverse. Originally planning an in-park experience, "The Beat Challenge," the brands pivoted to a virtual launch, tapping into the untapped potential of the digital realm. Our role was to guide them through this uncharted territory, where the focus shifted from physical spaces to emotional experiences
Collaborating with Copa90 and Unit9, we crafted an augmented reality experience that began at home, putting fans in the shoes of LaLiga's football gods. The project featured customizable avatars, football-themed games, a meta-version of the park, and an eCommerce path, all designed to pave the way for future exploration into the Metaverse. Driven by curiosity, we helped define a new frontier for brand collaboration in this brave new world.
